Current position:
Associate Professor of Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Department of Pharmaceutical Science of the University of Salerno.
Background:
PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Salerno.
Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the University of Salerno.
Research and awards:
My research activity is focused on computer-aided design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of small molecules that modulate the function of key macromolecular targets involved in cancer and inflammation processes. My research has largely contributed to the generation of selective inhibitors of proteins involved in epigenetic signaling (HDACs, BRDs), heat shock proteins (Hsp90), and microsomal prostaglandin E synthase-1 (mPGES-1 enzyme), all recognized as promising targets for the next generation of anticancer and anti-inflammatory drugs.
